The Shepherds’ Trust Special Collection - November 15

The mission of The Shepherds’ Trust is to raise awareness and collect funds so that elderly priests are provided with sufficient financial resources to lead a dignified life after many years of ministry. The Trust supports the needs of retired clergy in the Archdiocese of Toronto who have served for many years. Through our support of The Shepherds’ Trust, retired priests are given the dignity of adequate pensions, health care and other assistance in their golden years.

Teams of Our Lady is a Catholic lay organization founded in France in 1947 by Father Henri Caffarel. It aims to support Catholic couples united by the Sacrament of Marriage, providing them with a community to grow in their faith and enhance their marital relationship. The primary goal of Teams of Our Lady is to help couples discover the richness of their sacrament and live a married spirituality aligned with the Gospel. The movement promotes mutual support among couples, encouraging them to strive for holiness and to be witnesses of Christian marriage in society.

Teams of Our Lady is structured around small groups of couples, typically consisting of four to seven couples and a spiritual advisor. These teams meet monthly to share a meal, pray, and discuss topics related to married life and faith.

There are currently two teams in the Barrie area. If you are interested in finding out more about this apostolate, please speak with Fr. Ricardo and/or contact: Nancy and David Wilson: 322-9863; wilsonda36@gmail.com or Denise and Steve Jones: 322-8262; myhsgroups@gmail.com
