Coffee Sunday - April 6

Coffee Sunday will follow the 9am Mass on Sunday, April 6, at St. Patrick’s Church. Please remember to bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

Lenten Practices

Roman Catholics must fast and abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 and Good Friday, April 18, 2025. Additionally, they must abstain from meat on all Fridays during Lent. The norms of fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.

Stations of the Cross During Lent

Stations of the Cross will be recited publicly during Lent following the 9am Mass on Fridays at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Reminder - Mass Time Change - April 5

A reminder that the Saturday evening Mass will move back to 5pm starting Saturday, April 5.

CONFESSION, HOLY WEEK & EASTER SCHEDULE

CONFESSION - April 11 & 12
Friday, April 11, following the Stations of the Cross at Our Lady of Lourdes
AND from 7-8pm at St. Patrick’s Church.
Also Saturday, April 12, following the morning Mass.

HOLY THURSDAY: April 17 (No morning Mass)
Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:30pm, St. Patrick’s Church, with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to 10pm.

GOOD FRIDAY: April 18 (No morning Mass)
The Passion of the Lord service, 3pm at St. Patrick’s Church.

EASTER VIGIL: April 19 (No morning Mass or confession)
Holy Saturday Mass, 8pm at St. Patrick’s Church.

EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD: April 20
April 20, 9am Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, and 11am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
REGISTRATION MAY 4

Students of the parish in grade 7 and higher are welcome to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this June. Registration for the Sacrament will be held on Sunday, May 4, following the 11am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes mission Church. Parent(s) must attend this meeting.

Please bring with you a COPY of your child’s baptism certificate if your child was not baptized at St. Patrick’s, Phelpston or Our Lady of Lourdes mission Church, Elmvale.

CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION FORM 

Print a copy and fill in both pages. Bring the completed registration form and the baptism certificate with you to the Registration meeting.

Classes will be held Monday evenings in May, in the hall at Our Lady of Lourdes mission Church. More information will be given at the Registration meeting. Students must be able to attend all classes.

Pot Luck Parish Luncheon - May 18

Our next parish luncheon will be a pot luck on Sunday, May 18, after the 11am Mass. All parishioners are encouraged to join us in fellowship. Bring your children and elders along with your favourite dish. Looking forward to seeing new as well as long time parishioners.

Catholic Women's League Membership Renewal

Don’t forget to renew your membership - $35.  You may put it in the collection basket clearly marked “CWL membership” or you can deliver it to 9 Glenview Avenue. All women of the parish are encouraged to join us as we support our parish, community and beyond.

Lector Schedule

If you were a lector in the past, please sign up on the schedule posted on the bulletin board in the lobby of the churches.

If you have considered becoming a lector and would like to make the move and become a lector, please speak with Fr. Jim.
