World Mission Sunday Special Collection, October 18

Collection for the Evangelization of the Nations, otherwise known as World Mission Sunday, will be on October 18. This is a worldwide collection for the missionary church and it is our opportunity to assist at-need Catholic Communities globally. Offerings are combined with offerings from other Catholics around the world and distributed to missions and dioceses. We are called to share from our abundance with those less fortunate who lack the basic essentials to know, love and praise God. Thank you for your support of this important work.

Teams of Our Lady is a Catholic lay organization founded in France in 1947 by Father Henri Caffarel. It aims to support Catholic couples united by the Sacrament of Marriage, providing them with a community to grow in their faith and enhance their marital relationship. The primary goal of Teams of Our Lady is to help couples discover the richness of their sacrament and live a married spirituality aligned with the Gospel. The movement promotes mutual support among couples, encouraging them to strive for holiness and to be witnesses of Christian marriage in society.

Teams of Our Lady is structured around small groups of couples, typically consisting of four to seven couples and a spiritual advisor. These teams meet monthly to share a meal, pray, and discuss topics related to married life and faith.

There are currently two teams in the Barrie area. If you are interested in finding out more about this apostolate, please speak with Fr. Ricardo and/or contact: Nancy and David Wilson: 322-9863; wilsonda36@gmail.com or Denise and Steve Jones: 322-8262; myhsgroups@gmail.com
